`Anyone know alot about FI Audio?

Recommended Posts

I just purchased 2 FI -x Series 15s 2 ohm for my new setup, I went with the BP option and am inverting the woofer... I have no idea what the new power handling of the woofer would be .

They are rated for 250. Round that up to 300 and call it a day?

It'll probably give you an extra 50-100 watts RMS of headroom. With their higher end woofers like the BL and BTL it would give an extra 300-500 RMS above the "stock" RMS rating so that would just be my guess.

Being smart with your power is more important than the power handling of the woofer.

aka: no massive voltage drop and no clipping.

Lol if you have hard core voltage drop on 600watts you got bigger problems.

well actually I will be tuning my amp down following a voltage chart to give them only 550 rms total power drop less than a volt at 1200 rms
