carlosg_313 Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 So I gotten my dc power 270 xp alt for my Nissan Xterra, I know I got to upgrade the positive wire from the alternator to the batt with 1/0 wire. I also see a black wire, might be negative from the alt, that is connected as well. Am I suppose to upgrade that wire to 1/0 or leave that black wire alone? blownengine Posted April 13, 2011 Report Posted April 13, 2011 One positive from the alternator to the battery. Then usually three grounds form the battery to the frame, engine block, and car body. Just follow the wires from your battery and replace them.
