Jmoney2544 Posted April 13, 2011 Report Share Posted April 13, 2011 Hey, I have to make a custom box, and i wanted to put the port on the side because i have no room in the front (Trunk Box). My Boxes width is going to be 34" and my trunk has a width of like 34.5 ". I wanted to put the port on the side, but the air doesnt have much place to go because its right up against my trunk wall. Does that matter? You'd better find another way : put subs and port on the same side, firing back of the car if it's a trunk car. black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp OEM head unit, Amplifiers : Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200. Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats. 2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3 ported box. Do the port in the front since you can't port it backwards because u don't have any room for the air to flow. If it's going in the trunk, then seal the box from the front to the back.(don't know if i have said it right, english isn't good at the moment.) Thinking is the root of all problems...
