Everytime I have to order a $212k engine wouldn't that be making you pay for something? Do you care about a -95? I doubt it. Cops have been demonized not all cops are out to get you or trying to rip you off. They're simply trying to do their jobs. There will always be a few bad apple but we shouldn't allow the few mistakes reflect on those who do protect daily and serve vigilantly.

Okay...I agree. ALOT of non moving violations are chicken shit...and very rarely do i mess with them. They are a waste of time. But as for the "were your fucking boss" comment...we pay taxes too! Doesn't make us any more special than you...or you any more special than us.

Hell if you're a criminal and convicted I think the law has everyright to take what was yours that was used in the crime. If they can't use it they should be allowed to sell it.

Ok so next time when some little kid is kidknapped the cops should just take their liscense plate number and hope that their car breaks down and theres another cop around to arrest him. If they didn't go after criminals you guys would call them lazy it's a catch 22

Cops have no business even chasing a vehicle that is running from them...ever watch cops or worlds wildest police chases? take down the plate number, and step the hell back, let them drive home, follow them with the helicopter and bust them.

You are not helping the situation by trying to chase and ram a car that is already showing you its intentions.

It should be a federal law stating cops should not do high speed pursuits, you endanger more lives making that car go crazy trying to get away than you do if you let them speed a little stop and then arrest them.

yes, extreme discretion should be used when going into a chase. But, if you let one get away, then he will tell all his buddies, and pretty soon the police dept is made out to be a joke, and everyone will run from you.

What if the car is stolen? if no one has reported it stolen and they fall back and do what you said they are gonna go to that persons address and find out that they made a mistake.

And cops do call off chases when they feel like it is to dangerous, some get away but sometimes the guy gets spotted later and it starts all over again. Now with the addtion of Stop Sticks/ Spike Strips that helps bring an end to chases.

Unmarked units are mainly used for undercover operations such as drug forces, prostitution stings, etc. The other use is for traffic units...these are the guys who's job it is to stay on the streets and catch people breaking the law in vehicles. The department I work for, we have one traffic unit on each shift. They are the only ones responsible for writing tickets, working wrecks, traffic control at fires, and things like that. The other 4 of us drive marked units, and we are responsible for property checks, answering calls, and all the other things like that. This is how a department should be IMO.
