Supercharged DCs Posted April 15, 2011 Report Posted April 15, 2011 I'm planning to get my mom's Trailblazer in about a years time, so I want to start planning a build for it so I can save up enough to get everything I need. I'm planning on running 4 Audioque HDC318s, got that figured out. Also plan on getting 3 D3100s for the back, D3400 under the hood, and a Mechman 270A HO alt as well. Of course everything will be in 0gauge... My question is what amp would you recommend to power the subs? I want AT LEAST 2.5kw to each, was considering a Kicker Warhorse. But do yall have any other recommendations for a amp/s for about $1600? And also, with that much power, would yall recommend the Aluminum wire instead of the Copper wire for the HDC3s? It's better to plan all this out in advance, prolly going to start buying equipment piece by piece once I'm done with my Dakota... Thanks Quote Bassless once again. As for amps if you want to go that big you're going to pay around that price. Plus I've noticed audio equipment holds it's value pretty well, so can always get something new if it would come out. He was talking about what the subwoofer coils are made of. I think you are thinking of thw 0 gauge material. You may not ready for the 'Horse, she's a beast that takes a lot of electrical.
