Help with Wiring Woofers

Recommended Posts

As of right now I have: Voice Coils wired in Series and Woofers in Parallel. What I want is Voice Coils in Parallel and Subs in Series. Is the below image of wiring going to allow me to have a 1 OHM load and achieve VC in Parallel and Subs in Series?

Thanks for your time,

I have NO idea how to look at that drawing. Can you clean it up and label the woofers maybe?

you want coils in parallel and woofers in series right? What you have drawn there is parallel everything with one woofer being wired out of phase...let me see if I can draw it up, not sure if it works though.

Sorry about the confusion and thanks Skippy. This is the reason why I posted it, because I am not that good at configuring wires. All I did was goto 12volt and said I have 2 Dual 1 woofers and it spit an image back but with voice coils in series. I want to see if I can get them in parallel. Heres a little better picture, well I think it is haha.

It is really easier to series the coils and parallel the subs, is there a particular reason you want to parallel the coils and series the subs?

EDIT: I really want to make it clear the diagram I drew may not be correct. Don't try that until someone who knows what they are talking about verifies it.

Paralleling the coils can actually give you more db's
