honda97 Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Whats Up i have 4 12 inch kicker comps wired for a 1ohm load to a hifonics 1000d.. i will be gettin another amp for my mids and highs. wat i need to know is if i need another alternator or will adding a kinetik hc600 be enough to stop my lights from dimming when the deep low beats hit? i have a stock 90 amp alternator. please help me and how would i wire the battery?
XX7R Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 If I were you I would prolly get a bigger alternator & not have a dual alt setup lol.. And if you wanna do a battery in the back you just have to do a run of wire from front +battery terminal to back +battery terminal but put a fuse as close as you can on the wire on both front and back. That should be enough for what you have. Still have problems after that then your alt could be old an wore out so then yes replace it. BUILD LOG

A negative run from front to back will also help with voltage but isn't necessary wait...a bigger alternator? for a 1000w amp? he will be absolutely perfectly fine with just the big 3. edit: the hc600 will help, just run 0 gauge from the front battery to the hc600 in the back and wire the amps off of that.
