Hotdog Posted April 20, 2011 Report Posted April 20, 2011 Ok.. I got my RFX9420 today so I called Rockford Tech today to get some information. I asked the tech if the Rockford RFX9420 deck would cause any harm to my amps since the Rockford RFX9420 has 8 volt pre outs and the Amps only have 4 volt inputs. The Tech told me that it will be fine that all I had to do was adjust the gain on the amp and that it would probably be almost all the way down. I asked him again "Will 8 volts pre outs burn out the rca inputs if they are only rated for 4 volts " and he said no that they do it all the time. What are your thoughts ? is this just a gain setting only on the amp ? I just want to make sure everything is square before I do anything.
