jreese92
Getting a Rockford t400-4. Also I am getting the rockford t1652 components and the t1 6x9s. I want to give the 6x9s each their own channel. Then a set of components each into the other channels. How can i wire 1 set to equal a 2 ohm load into 1 channel for the amp? MrSkippyJ
you are running 4 speakers (I am counting each component set as a speaker) from a 4 channel amp with each speaker being 4 ohms. You want to know if you can each speaker up to be a 2 ohm load? If that is your question, then you can't. RickyFriery97
If your getting 1 set of componets and 1 set of 6x9s that's 4 speakers 4 channel amp=1 speaker per channel Quote 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
jreese92
Just realized i sounded like a jackass in my post and made no sense. There will be 2 6x9s and a pair of components. But i want to put a woofer and tweeter into one channel as a 2 ohm load. is it possible? speedball1978
a woofer and a tweeter is a component set, they will always be on one channel unless you go with a active crossover and use a seperate amp to separate them. Now to wire up 2 6x9s is possible for a 2 ohm load.. just wire them pos to pos to the amp then neg to neg then to the amp and you'll simply have a 2 ohm load. Sammitch0
You can't just put 4 speakers on the first 2 channels and run them 2 ohm? I'd done this before didnt know it was bad? RickyFriery97
anybody? After the cross over pos to pos neg to neg should work Quote 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer
MrSkippyJ
Why are you bent on running the amp at 2 ohms? You would to build a new crossover to make the component set a 2 ohm load and even then I'm not sure it will work.
