That1Kid
Mechman has many smaller H/O alternators for good prices. They sell many 270 amp alts for around 450...you get what you pay for. Saying "best/cheap" is an oxymoron Edited April 24, 2011 by That1Kid Quote -98' Ford Expedition (Rest in Peace) -AVH-P3300BT -Crescendo BC5500 -4 18" DC m2 Level 3. That1Kid
Not trying to sound rude, man. But you wont find a decent alternator for "dirt cheap". Depending on what you mean by "dirt cheap", I guess. You can get an alternator rebuilt at a local alternator shop for around $250. At last that's what they charge here. They claim that it will do 240 amps...it might...but it won't do shit at idle. And not all of their alts are on the site. Gotta call or email them.
