Depending on what you mean by "dirt cheap", I guess. You can get an alternator rebuilt at a local alternator shop for around $250. At last that's what they charge here. They claim that it will do 240 amps...it might...but it won't do shit at idle. And not all of their alts are on the site. Gotta call or email them. If I had money I would buy an alt from them, stupid job is only giving me 24-32 hours a week.
