ZombieswithMustaches
I have a grounding issue becausey lights are still dimming and I've always suspected my amp ground was the culprit. The local guys told me the seat bolt or seatbelt bolt, so that's what I did but I've never felt comfortable with it. Anyway, I'm gonna redo it tomorrow. Should I ground it to the frame or just make a new hole in the body, sand it down, and use a bigger bolt? Robert8252
Battery negative is best. But sand and frame is the second best. Also do big three if you haven't. carlosg_313
Battery negative is best. But sand and frame is the second best. Also do big three if you haven't. x2 a lot of people sand and ground it to the chasis (including myself) edit:if having dimming problems after changing the ground location, do the big 3 as Robert said, and/or get a bigger battery. ZombieswithMustaches
So I was thinking of drilling a hole through the body, adding a grommet and running 0g ground wire to the frame and connecting there. Better, right? AMI CUSTOMS
Yeah the frame would be better then seat belt bolt. But the battery negative is best. And look at your other thread I responded. ZombieswithMustaches
So run a ground wire from the battery under the hood to the amp in the back? I always thought you were supposed to have the shortest ground wire possible? ZombieswithMustaches
So if I go out and buy another battery tomorrow, I could just use the battery's negative post instead...correct? Cause on a multiple battery setup, you just run power and ground wire from your battery under the hood to the extra battery, right? ZombieswithMustaches
Yeah the frame would be better then seat belt bolt. But the battery negative is best. And look at your other thread I responded. Oh okay, I see! So, just ground to the actual frame and if I still get a little dimming, get another battery?
