Jmoney2544 Posted April 28, 2011 Report Posted April 28, 2011 Ok,I hear both the aq2200d and the Rf 2500-BDCP are both great amps (not choosing between them just example) I hear the 2200 can go up to 2500 watts on good electrical but it has a 200 amp fuse the RF can go up to 3000 watts and has a 300 amp fuse which is normal. how can the Aq do 2500 watts on 200 amps? Efficiency is the key. Audioque=class D amps which are generally more efficient. RF=class AB amp which are generally a bit less efficient then class d amps. And just because the fuse is a bit larger that doesn't means it will put out as many watts as the fuse can handle. Since they don't make 270amp fuses, or atleast they are not standard. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
