Jmoney2544
Q1: Example: You set your gain remote to 3/4 and set volume to like 45/62 and KEEP IT There. in the middle of the song depending on how hard the bass hits does the clipping light go on and off? Q2: I know flickering isnt a problem but solid light is. will there be times where its solid for like 3-4 seconds then no light, then solid for 3-4 seconds, then no light again? Q2: when people say dont keep the solid red light on for long periods of time, like how long do you mean? memphisBred
Set your gain with a 0 dB tone and the clip light won't come on or flicker at all on music. Your worrying too much about it. EclipseChris
The remote knob is NOT just a gain knob. It is a fine adjustment. The gain on the amp is the coarse adjustment. When setting the gains you must incorporate and adjust both the remote and amp gain. And my advice. If you EVER see red your doing something wrong. A wise man once said, "If your system needs bass boost your system needs A bass boost!" Also some songs are originally clipped, no matter how you tune the amp will just amplify the originally clipped song. Avoid songs like these at all costs. Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Freshman6969
the clipping light on any knobs are inaccurate from my understanding, there good till a point then after that there off, your worrying about it to much, everyone clips to an extent weather it be an originally clipped song, to competing, just for long periods of time its bad Quote Legal TL scores145.6 on the dash sealed up in the low 40hz area with the port out145.5 on the dash sealed up @30hz with the port inless then 1k clamped on a 3.5k! EclipseChris
what do u mean some songs come clipped? like clip at 5 volume with the knob at 1/4? I mean exactly that. Some songs are just clipped. Some more than others, but there are a ton out there that are terrible quality, and terrible fidelity. As for the second question, i have no idea what your saying/asking. The gain knob is not a volume knob. Thats prolly the first think you need to realize/fully understand. Quote i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P.
