NYC54 Posted April 29, 2011 Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 Quick question , I just installed a 300 amp alt , it's resting at 13.8 to 13.9 at idle , system is not installed yet so everything factory but I do have the big 3 done , is this a good voltage at idle ? NYC54 Posted April 29, 2011 Author Report Share Posted April 29, 2011 It's a iraggi alt , I know he has a bad rep but I bought it a while ago and I never threw in the truck ,, it's a 01 suburban the big 3 is done and it reads 13.8 to 13.9 at idle when I'm driving it goes up to 14.1 but that's it , my factory alt which was a 130 amp and it was reading 14.5 at idle , how is that ?
