Alt voltage at idle

No, you should be in the 14's, but depending on several factors it might be the best you will get. Need more info, like vehicle it is on for starters.

should rest 14.3 to 14.5 at idle. regular OEM alts sit at 13.7- 14 (more like 13.98).

My 200 amp rests at 14.9V so your voltage does look low for a HO alternator...

Who made the alt

he wouldnt be the first to say they did a 167 with a system like that (one that clearly DOESNT), but i have to say, he didnt beat me anywhere, ive never competed against the guy. If he thinks his does a 167, mine would probably put him in a coma. :hairtrick:

Mine rested at 14.0v until i did the big3 and went to 14.7v

It's a iraggi alt , I know he has a bad rep but I bought it a while ago and I never threw in the truck ,, it's a 01 suburban the big 3 is done and it reads 13.8 to 13.9 at idle when I'm driving it goes up to 14.1 but that's it , my factory alt which was a 130 amp and it was reading 14.5 at idle , how is that ?

Send it off an get it tested.. that way u know its good an also it is wat it says it is.. example he hold u a 300 but only does 225 not saying that's the case but ied have it checked

The pulley was a little smaller then the factory , you think I might need a smaller belt ?
