RAM_Designs Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) I'm looking to make some 1/2" and 3/4" pipe clamps, but am having a hard time choosing which clamps to go with. I'm not wanting to drop a ton of money, but still want something that will last and be able to clamp fairly tight. Opinions? What do you guys use? RAM_Designs Posted April 30, 2011 Author Report Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) T-bolt clamps is the way to go, but what are you clamping to the pipe? I'm referring to something like this, for box building purposes. It's hard to find ones that can fit 60-61" between them...this way, I can custom make them to however long I need without spending a ton of money. http://www.amazon.com/52-2-Inch-Clamp-Fixture-Black/dp/B0000224CA/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1304197057&sr=8-1 Edited April 30, 2011 by RAM_Designs Quote Ryan Miskin - owner of RAM Designs I have my PM's turned off, please email at <script data-cfhash='f9e31' type="text/javascript"> /* */</script> 2200+ designs since March 2011...
blownengine Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) I know home depot has some pretty big ones. I don't know if they are the 60" that you need. I have two in my garage for box building, and I am yet to build a box that was too big for them. EDIT: I didnt read that you wanted to build your own..... oops..... RAM_Designs Posted April 30, 2011 Author Report Posted April 30, 2011 Dude, they are just clamps. You are over thinking this. I don't want to waste my money on something that's going to slip or break when I crank down on it. That's why I'm asking for opinions from people who have personal experience with these types of clamps. EclipseChris Posted April 30, 2011 Report Posted April 30, 2011 (edited) If your worried about breaking the clamps, then you are cranking them down too hard. Its just wood.
