background noise (still with problem)

Recommended Posts

So when I have my system on I hear this light white noise in the background. It's not very noticeable when there's music playing but you can hear if its a quiet part of the song or changing tracks. Is this the amp or hu? I have a pioneer hu and aq4x90

edit:ok so im still having this background noise! i got a new mbquart onx4.125 just cuz i wanted to try something new. new knu karma rca's. grounded the preamp outputs. signal and power wires are not touching. sooo... is it a faulty hu? a Pioneer DEH-P7200HD

2 weeks ago "In wikipedia i found that this sub in 1997's unofficial private SPLdB drag was burned down the dB meter! The dB was over 300 and the system burned down. Actually, 300dB is only about ¼ of this prototype sound level."

I don't know anything about guns... so when I saw the title I thought, "I wonder what kind of woofer the AR-15 is?"

*laughs*

Twisted, I would stay away from that guy, the next video he uploads could be you tied up in his living room while being forced to watch him "swag and cook" in person, lol.

IMO first you should check ALL you system related grounds. Making sure they're clean never hurts. Secondly, i would look into how you have your RCAs ran. You could be picking up interference from a power wire somewhere in your run. Third, look into grounding you RCA outputs on your pioneer hu. I ran into a problem like this when i had a pioneer hu. My research turned up that pioneer apparently has a grounding issue with RCA outputs on ALLOT of their hu's. Wound up having to ground all three sets of RCA outputs on mine. Not tryin to bash pioneer they make some good hu's they just happen to have an annoying problem with them.
