i was told to buy thick ca glue by a member i didnt look to well on the ebay listing and turns out it wasnt foam safe idk i just hope the jb weld holds i think it will if not live and learn

fixmyspeaker sells it on there site, along with a hardener.

hobby grade thick foam safe ca glue is approx 5 dollars for enough ca to do approx 10 recones.

if your not in a rush. do not use the kicker, accelerator ect ect. it causes the ca glue to become brittle.

so when you bought the recone why didnt you just throw some ca glue in the cart right from fi? thats what i did and it all came in the box and did my recone lol. i dont understand why you would use jb weld and not ca glue. also if you have a local hobby shop you can buy ca glue there for decent price. i guess we will see the carnage when you post up the pics after a few days lol

why do you think it wont hold?

I picked up an MTX Sw1212 powered subwoofer today. This thing sounds amazing. 130 watts, 12" woofer with a passive 12" woofer tuned to 27 hz. Moving the pictures on the walls and my girl got wet from the bass when i showed her haha. Tonight should be good haha.

why didnt you use the CA glue on the spider and the jbweld on the surround?

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

JBweld was never designed to hold a soft pliable material to a solid surface. Its going to rip eventually imo. two solid surfaces sure. a soft and a solid no.
