dereileak
Hey whats good Fam, I built the box this last weekend and daaamn. I just got my gains reset today and these sa-12's are knockin something serious now. The box was not that easy to build for me (having little experience). That tripple baffle destroyed my jig saw, I heard a pop and ball bearings started flying out of if and grease running down the blade, but I finished anyways with the saw making horrible noises. Just want to say thank you for those design plans, everything fits perfect and looks dope. Let me know if you want to see a pic of the thing installed, I love it so far. Think im gonna go on a drive now. I've noticed that the sub sitting above the port in my box is bottoming out at high volume, ive turned up my subsonic filter, but still cant go full tilt on some music without the slappy tick noise. What is your experience here? show me some pics man I havnt had any issue with the sub on the port side, I have watched them closely at full tilt and they extend the exact same, I know it has less airspace behind it but with that triple baffle it shouldnt effect it to much, I inverted my subs at the moment and I really like it you have them hooked up correctly, thats the only thing I can think of, pics though please!!! 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)

dereileak
I noticed you have a mazda 3, im getting one just like yours 2006, 5-speed manual, just in silver. Im going to try to put two t2 15s in it, do you think it is possible? or should I just go for the 2 12s? well you can fit 2 15"s in with a smaller box, but if you remove the back seat you can easily do 4 -18's lol, the biggest box I could fit in the hatch would be around 7-8 cubes and thats almost filling everything, but its possible 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
CleanSierra
So you feel the 12s hit better and deeper since ported, than the sealed box you had with the Kickers? Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
dereileak
So you feel the 12s hit better and deeper since ported, than the sealed box you had with the Kickers? I would say they hit deeper yea, but they are about the same intensity, maybe a little more, but thats pretty damn good when you compare the amount of cone area, 2 12's being 226 cubic inches together, and the 15's being 353 cubic inches and these subs are only rated for 600 rms each vs 1000rms, so I am pretty happy, its pretty insane in there 2006 Mazda3 Hatchback Black 5 Spd ManualPioneer 4300DVD2 Sundown SA-12 (34hz Tune, 3.22 cubes, 14.5 inches per cube, Triple Baffle)Kicker 10ZX2500.1 (2845 RMS) Sub AmpKicker 11ZX650.4 (705 RMS) Mid Amp -- (3 Amps)Kicker KQ3 Active CrossoverKicker KQ30 EqualizerKicker 09QS60.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones)Kicker 09QS65.2 Components (Woven Carbon Cones) - (3 Sets)2/0 Gauge Electron Beam Technologies (3 Runs, 2 +, 1 -) 1/0 Gauge KNU Kollasal Flex (1 Run for -) 300 Ft Kicker X-Series 16 Gauge Speaker WireXS Power D3400 (Rear)XS Power D3100 (Front)Singer Externally Regulated Alternator (Being Built)+ The Love for Car Audio and BASS <3UBL Build Log <------- Click Here-------> Normal Build Log (For Comments)
Isortek
Sup Dereileak, Got a few shots finally. I have a long way to come still but on the right track. I just dumped a ton of sound deadening in it. Gotta upgrade that hifonics and get some components up front. I wasnt in the know when I bought my coaxials. Anyway peep it, you may find it somewhat familiar.
