Supercharged DCs Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 Hey all, I need some help. I'm wondering if anyone would know the best grounding point for a 2000 Dodge Dakota club cab. I cannot drill through to the frame. All of my previous setups I've grounded to the seat bolt because I wasn't aware it was a bad ground, but I know it is now. I've looked around the back, didn't want to peel the panels off as it's getting dark and starting to rain, so I figured might as well ask y'all. Thanks for any replies, please don't troll lol Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

Thanks for any replies, please don't troll lol when i had my dakota i had the back seats out and i just used one of the seat bolts to ground to...they go into the frame anyway, but i did sand the paint off first, i dont see how thats a bad ground honestly, its better then grounding to the seat belt bolt or something like that.
Supercharged DCs Posted May 4, 2011 Author Report Posted May 4, 2011 The seat bolt seems like the only option, I looked behind some panels and couldn't find any solid hold, so may have to grind it down n ground it. Superjay Posted May 4, 2011 Report Posted May 4, 2011 seat bolts are welded in...that makes for a rather restrictive circuit. ground to the body. grind all the paint off all the way through until the metal shines. use a wide flat ground lug, and paint over it when you're done.
