I was having slight phasing issues, that would cause the sub to reach its mechanical limits (surrounds would dimple), over time It also caused stress on the neck joint and tinsels. Once I fixed the phasing problems sub was already too messed up, but lasted for a bit before completely coming apart. Coil looked had a perfect copper color to it, so coils were fine.
