I figured it's time for me to make one of the xB. Not much done yet at all but it's coming along nicely.

First off, a farewell to my 2001 Impala.

Now on to the xB! Here are some pics of it!!

System:

Alpine 9886 w/ Imprint

American Bass VFL 175.1

(3) Sundown SA-8s

Stock front door and rear speakers

Knu and Phoenix Gold 1/0

One of the first things I did was deaden the rear plate & rear hatch. Also installef the HU and put some new cheap 3 1/2's in the dash

Sorry, no pics but I got videos!

Yesterday (5/7/11) I finally did the BIG3 and ran my power wire. Didn't want to run it through the passenger so I found a thread on google about running it from the grommet behind the battery

So today (5/8/11) I was planning on running the sub RCA's and remote wire. That's when I remembered I had my PAC LC-1 bass knob. I couldn't figure out where to put it when I noticed the one "blank" tab next to the security and fog light switch. This is what pursued:

PAC LC-1

Removed the tab and relocated the fog light switch to the far right spot

IMG_0407.jpg

Used a boxcutter to cut around the face of the LC-1 then pried it off.

Almost the same size, almost

IMG_0412.jpg

Used a 1/4" drill bit for the hole

IMG_0417.jpg

Double sided tape FTW!

IMG_0419.jpg

Look I drilled a hole!

IMG_0420.jpg

Stuck the knob from the backside out and secured it with the double sided tape:

Finished result. Nice amirite?

wouldnt 3300 watts be too much for 3 sa8s? theyre like 400rms

TEAM DC

Everything is a 150 on th earometer

Well I guess punching a woman is a good way to test your strength! You never know how strong you are until you cold-cock a woman in the head and break that bitches jaw.

Next time she tries to punch you in the stomach, whip your wiener out and chase her around. Show her who's boss.

Yeah it's a daily driver but man, if I could wall it, I would.

Yeah they're rated at 400 but I don't plan on sending all that power to them for daily. MAYBE on burps as I do compete.

he can wire the subs to either 1.33, or 3 ohms.. so either way after rise and voltage loss, what he wires them too the sa8s should be able to handle it
