White Lightning
Amps make a VERY BIG Difference in Sound Quality ... My "Plum Crazy" Linear Power amps work VERY WELL for my competition application ... The ONLY way those amps will get replaced is when the NEW Linear Power amps roll out ... tonedeaf
Just posted up my buildlog and should have this thing hooked up within the next couple days, if I can get my speaker wires run and terminals that fit my fuseholders. Thanks for all the help in this thread, glad I asked before I bought.

tonedeaf
That's crazy, I was just about to ask you for a status update! lol Theres a pic of the new versions. You can see the three 40A fuses and its a decent size longer than the original. Dimensions are 19"x8.5" but the mounting feet make it more like 9-10" to have room to mount. Shes pretty hefty for 5x4@4ohm. My only complaint about the amp, although its a VERY sexy amp I think, the 'zuki audo' and 'eleets' stickers are both put on crooked. Im not a fan of something looking sloppy, intentionally or otherwise. I think if it had been stamped or CNC milled in straight it would have been far more appealing. Oh and it comes with no spec sheet, no birthsheet (didnt expect one though), and no instruction manual at all. Just the box and the amp. I was kind of dissapointed...I need some kind of bathroom material!

Monergist
The crooked stickers would annoy me also. 1994 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham Pioneer AVH-P5200BT Hertz Mille MLK-165 Component System Hertz Hi Energy HCX-165, 6.5 Hertz Hi Energy HCX-690 (6x9s) Audison Voce AV K6 Component System Audison VRX 4.300 Audison VRX 2.250 Sundown 4500D SMD 15" XS Power D3400 (under hood) Three XS Power D3100 (trunk) Monster XLN-201 RCAs DC Power Engineering 390XP H/O Alternator
tonedeaf
I'm not going to be running active just yet, so I'm kinda stuck with these filters and passive crossovers. I've considered buying a used ms8 or bitone...but Ii think I might wait for the new ones. Worse comes to worse people will be selling their used ones so I cab snatch up one for cheap. Black Viper
I am also new at this SQ setup too, but I am trying to set my '04 Sorento and I have purchased a Hifonics 80.4. They will do 80wrms. That seems to be in your next of the woods and I bought one on SonicElectronics (authorized) for under $300. As for the EQ, have you tried looking at the AudioControl DQXS, its an EQ/Xover with 192 channels. If that don't cover your window don't know what will. Hope this helps ToneDeaf.....
