I just ordered a set and will probably be ordering a second one anytime. I have been told both ways, but if running an active setup with a processor as to not rely on the amps eq settings, is there really going to be an sq difference between separate high quality amps if everything else is equal? Another question unrelated to the amp is staging. I wanted to mount the speakers both in the doors with the tweeters within 12 inches of the mids. I know it depends on the install, car, etc. but is there a guideline to 'aiming' the speakers persay? Sq is hard, being louds easy. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Some amps sound good but some set themselves apart. This amp will be powering 2 sets of HSK 165s, probably MSK 165s eventually, and might have to get a second amp for the mids, but any suggestions are always taken.
