jreese92
I'm waiting on my 10" alpine type r, so i figured i should go ahead and get the box done before it gets here. I drive a 2000 Toyota Solara, i'm going to be running about 500-550 rms to it. What would a good slot port enclosure size and tuning be if i'm trying to get real low (slam the decaf lows)? Tarball
Or one of these scaled down for a 10" http://www.decware.com/newsite/dbk12.htm nice thing about this design is you can add a second sub(clamshell) later if you want. Same with the DBK10 Quote CURRENT SYSTEM: Alternator: Stock alt on mids/highs Isolated DC Power 270 SP - Charging @ 16.8v Batteries: (2) XS D1400s Power Cable: Double Runs of 1/0 KNU Kolossus Fleks Headunit: 80-PRS Sub Amp: DC 5.0k Subwoofers: 2 RE MT 15s /PSI dual .7ohm recones Subwoofer Enclosure: 9.1cubes @ 32hz - brutal. SPLVan
find the subs optimal ported box volume.(should be in your manual) then Use Torre's calculator to find the specs for the sides and etc. and you can tune your port as well.
