jakobebassbudds Posted May 27, 2011 Report Share Posted May 27, 2011 extended cab s-10 with double 5% on back 3 and single 5% on the roll ups and u cant see in worth a damn but i tinted mt windshield at 35% and it was little to dark so i had 50% put on and its perfect so i would personally say stay with 50 or higher expecially if u have dark tint on the others and like punkyou007 i meter at 3% on my roll ups and only 1 ticket ( knock on wood ) so yeah 50 or higher 2 12ks and i dont know what to do build in the works! It is very nice to have during the day but I can not deny it makes it harder to see at night... after taking my ws tint off after 3 years of driving with it, I wouldn't recommend anything darker than 35% on the windshield unless you are a really cautious driver. What's nice about that black chrome film is that it gives the appearance of a normal windshield with a nasty sun glare on it. I have yet to have cop problems, but I did have a sketchy moment this afternoon. One pulled up right next to me and anytime I am near a cop I roll all the windows down. Well, I had my girlfriend in the car and I started to roll my windows down and without missing a beat " Omg... what are you doing its hot outside" then proceeds to roll her window up. I would've explained to her why if the cops window wasn't rolled down to were he could hear my entire conversation. And also remember with windshield tint you will always be held at fault for any wreck unless it goes completely unnoticed at the scene of the crash. fox_racin4 Posted June 29, 2011 Report Share Posted June 29, 2011 i have factory tinted windows with 5% over them, and 35% on front window. i wouldnt go much darker then 35% on the front the only cop troubles ive had is when i go stopped becasue the cop couldent see threw my BACK windows.. Ive been in trucks with everything from double 5 to 50. and thought we where going to jail with the double 5. The Dr. papers only work some of the time, and if u get them make sure they are notarized. I had a state trooper tear mine up so he could give me a ticket. And court cost suck too. If you wanna go dark i had a Dr. tell me he would write me papers but just said I had to say i had diabetes and the light triggered something. In VA you get the paper work and take it to DMV ....they will issue you a new DL with some marking on it that says your ok for tint. Only problem is that it makes me horny and gives me the rams. So unless yall wanna fight and then have some great make up sex i will leave it home.
