Guest MegaloManiac Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 why yall still fighting or being rude to me all i came and posted was i think my sub is messed up not to get into yall bashing my system. first of all this is just the internet, you shouldnt get all butthurt from us. problem with you is you seek answers that you want and refuse answers that are unpleasant to you. do you have any idea how much we bashed nismo th first time he was on forum? it got through his head big time, he now knows what he is doin to an extent. he doesnt get butthurt anymore about it. rude comments come & go, deal with it. as far as your question, what was your question to begin with? your sub locked up. its either blown or shifted, simple. go to big lots and grab another woofer lol problem solved.

andym85 Posted October 8, 2007 Report Posted October 8, 2007 like i have told u a bunch of times...just save and get something good...like i told u, it took me over a year to save for my system and not only is it loud, low, and clean on music, but its also competition worthy when it comes to burps...i couldnt be happier. what i have listed in my sig is my very first system (and only system up to this point). in that year i was saving i was reading on different forums to distinguish garbage from gold...save, read, learn and get loud!! i likes me some audio stuff...

It makes the coil (motor) work harder to perform the same as if getting the proper amount of power. Sure, if you underpower a sub and turn the gains all the way up to sustitute the real power it will damage it as well by sending a clipped or dirty signal. But just underpowering can cause damage as well. I seen it first hand with my XXX's it was a clean signal not clipped just underpowered and it still caused the coil to overheat and come unglued. But once again I obviously know nada, zip, zero in this matter.you are total right bro, and i have seen this happen... underpowering can cause damage, because of working the coil harder. A dirty signal is a total diffent problem, cause we all know that a shity signal will cause damage, but so can running a large woofer with low power.
