I had the american bass sq6.2c comps in my front door pods, but I whipped out a 6.5 somehow, so now they are filled with some diamond hex drivers ran off the ab crossover and ab tweets. Yea, I will tell you what, Im very impressed with my 4 channel, My trunk use to leak last year (all fixed now) but where my amp was in my tire well it got completly submerged in water and the thing still plays now, and while under water LOL They seem to have some strong gear at a very competitive price. Now after looking back, Im kinda salty I dropped 2 grand per spl dynamics ext-3000d (back before I even knew of american bass) and them being a american version thats not imported from finland. For the money I spent on the 3000ds I could of gotten 3-4 times the amps but oh well. AB seems to hold up strong and I cant complain with that at all, and I just look at the spls as a rare amp in the us that I got 2 of. I was gonna pick up a dd z2 lv or a cactus elt 12 around xmas time or a lil later, but now it maybe a AB 1000.1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Scott called me asap and let me knew what was up and is gonna try to have it back out the door back to me by tuesday so maybe I can get her back by friday I really want to do 4 18s in the cadillac in a clam shell, but that wont be til I get another daily driver first. i was wanting to try another brand of subs, dc lvl 5s or some btls, but I really have no reason because Scott at DD is taking care of me really good (like Im a sponsered) but Im not. And far as the best connection ever....... get a huge fucking battery, cut the top off, drop an alt in there and then pour all that into your big amplifier. or just smelt them all together. EricR Posted June 5, 2009 Report Share Posted June 5, 2009 man im glad i remembered about this thread but took me forever to find it lol. im building a box similar to this in my 02 impala starting in the morning. not sure if i wanna do port on bottom or drivers side. i wanna do it different than anyone else but theres only a few ways you can do it lol. thanks for the pointers i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
