I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

Thanx guys.

I was kinda iffy on getting this mtec hid kit. Ive never heard much about them, everyone was saying good kits used phillips bulbs and so on.

But the way I looked at these mtecs was, people where making fake mtec kits so they must be somewhat good if people are selling fake kits.

It seems like im driving a completly different car.

I just wish dd would hurry up so I can get these temp kickers out of my trunk again. those l7s are so messed up  they are dual 4 ohm, each sub is wired to see 2 ohms, well one sub reads 6.3 ohms, and the other reads 4 something... hahaha 3000 watts to kickers is not a good idea.

as stated before no... :(

Im sure I picked one of the worst times to send it in since it was right after finals, but at the same time it might be one of the better times because I may end up gettting special parts that dd says is not availble no longer unless your special.

Still waiting on dd.... The sub has been there for almost 3 weeks yet and they havent touched it. Ill end up calling them today to waste some time on my 45 minute drive to work.

  • 2 weeks later...

Question: Which wood would be denser? Im looking at buying some wood soon and Im debating between oak, maple, or regular mdf, all being 3/4 inch thick.

Oh and today I called DD again, and now they where waiting for me. I guess it would of been nice of them to call me or email me saying please give us money to build your speaker. Maybe they got someone new running things I dunno, never waited that long the last two times I delt with them.

It turns out I CANNOT have the best of both worlds http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif

They had a quad coil waiting for me, and fits the gap in my motor too.

but heres where it gets tricky.

The pitch on the kevlar cone is different then the pitch of a normal cone, and because the pitch difference I cannot run the kevlar cone with the quad coil because the quad coil is shorter in length then the normal dual coils they have.

So I have 2 options:

1)18 inch sub, quad coils, stock cone, 8" carbon fiber dust cap

or

2) 18 inch sub, dual coils, kevlar cone, 8" carbon fiber dust cap

I really wanted quad coils, but both coils can handle the same wattage, so its not to big of a deal. I just wanted a low impedance for competitions.

I also wanted the kevlar cone really bad becuase they look cool.

So I made a hard decision, and decided on package number 2.

Then I gave DD almost $500. Hopefully I should get my sub back this comming week but Im not sure.

Another thing I did before work today is I sold my stock caddy rims to some guy that needed them for his buick. He said he would give me $150 for them without tires. So I piled the wheels up in my back seat, tool them to the salvage yard my buddies run and unmounted some tires. Then I seen a set of polished aluminum rims on the shelf in the back, and they wanted $150 for them, so I then mounted my tires from the plain aluminum rims to the polished rims. So I guess I got winter bling now!

The owner of the shop also is still very happy with the stereo I put on his invision powerboat and asked me if I could install a stereo in their parts delivery truck they are building. I forget what kind it is, but its a 51 panel truck, they are doing some pretty dope body work to it and smoothing out the firewall, and possibly putting in either a 383 that is balanced and blueprinted or a 454. They are still debating on it tho I guess.
