fox_racin4 Posted May 25, 2011 Report Share Posted May 25, 2011 recently got a 15" DC spl xl, had it in a 4.25 cube box ( yes its a tad big, but i was watching the sub and it wasnt moving much at all ) was playing fine, pretty loud, then outa no where something in the box started rattling, pulled sub out to cheak spiders.. no rips or anything, free aird it and.. holy shit its noisy! i assume its becasue theres no pole vent, and its just mechanical noise, it doesnt sound like ripped spiders, just a hole lot of air moving around for cooling bassically im asking, if the spl xls are really noisey free air?
