So here comes the TLDR all the ring terminals are crimped with pliers and loose. nut holding power wires to capacitor isnt tight ground going to a painted seat bracket thing fuse connection is loose inside the fuse housing on both sides amp mounted to back of seat, cap mounted to box, power wire from cap to amp so short seat only folds half way down. So as i am checking for distortion i am trying not to lean on seat but i do and power wire pulls out of the amp about the time i see a distortion light. Amp goes into protect and wont come out. I try unhooking the power, shorting across pos and neg (cause thats a thing) spend the next 45 minutes redoing all the crimps and connections. Amp still goes to protect or doesnt even protect and just doesnt power up. I feel kinda bad about it but last i heard he replaced the stripped out screw on the remote wire and he said it comes on now but has no output. This is why i hate working on other peoples stuff.
