If you built a box for a AQ HDC3 15" then HELP!!

you should always glue and screw together. just normal elmers wood glue. glue does about 90% of the holding, the nails or screws just keep it in place and re-enforce.

Well the box sounds like crap right now because of openings between some of the wood. It hits a little harder than my last one and gets just as loud, but sounds horrible at low volumes. Once I glue it this week, the sound waves should be better and should sound awesome. I took around 3+ inches off of my port lengths, so it should be good now. I still don't understand how my tune was too low because the calculator I used said it would be around 38hz. But anyways, thanks for the input thus far!

I still don't understand how my tune was too low because the calculator I used said it would be around 38hz.

i didn't look at the .txt file, but something tells me you cut the port out as long as the port you entered in for port length. if the port bends, the 'physical port' should be shorter, as the 90º angle accommodates for some of that length. so making physical port as long as your effective port lowered the tuning
