moar pix!

I know I know.. Pulled some long ass shifts at work the last two days, and had to drive a buddy on a 5 hour round trip to go pick up a car he bought so that killed my time today. Getting stuff cleaned up tomorrow and maybe taking her down to Jeff so we can do more work, if not, there will still be more pictures tomorrow. Have sanding, more expanding foam, and glassing to do. then doing the baffles.

I'd hit that so fucking hard whoever pulled me out would be King of England.

Lol... looks like we were on the same page. Car-B-Ques suck.

ya, tires and paint burning make the marshmallows taste funny.

Indiana doesn't have emissions testing or vehicle inspections, ftw. Unfortunately I have an NPI 4.6, but I do have the intake from a PI motor, just need to swap the heads, not sure if i'm going to stick with the stock PI cams or find something a little better.

Any HPP model crown vic or murcury with the I wanna say 8th didget of the vin has an XX it means the block is a windsor, most are romeos.... a windsor like mine is exactly the same but instead of the bottom end being safe to 400 to 500 hp the crank is fordged and the stock bottom end will handle much more than 600.... I've even heard 1200+ 1 to 10 runs on a strip before it pops but an impressive # for a stock bottom end.....

All that being said I don't think ull see to much improvment going to PI heads because they are still 2 valve ud be better of with cobra 3v heads or maruarder 4v heads if they will fit...... or go grab a grand marquis motor

So much misinformation here. There is NO difference in Windsor bottom ends and Romeo bottom ends. The only difference in them is the Windsor uses 13 bolt valve covers and does not have as much thread for the spark plugs, where as the Romeo has 11 holes and has more threads. The Windsor heads were notorious for blowing plugs out of the heads. The Windsors were more plentiful up north and in Canada where as the Romeo's were more common down here. If you research it almost everyone suggests going with the Romeo heads.

Won't see much improvement with the PI heads only because there 2 valve? LOL, the PI heads are the single biggest improvement for the money you can do to those cars. The smaller combustion chamber makes for a nice bump in compression as well as the ports flow better than stock, match that with the PI cams (if you go aftermarket make sure to do research on piston to valve clearance!!!), and the PI intake with the longer runners and you're bolting on tremendous power.

Cobra 3v heads? Sorry broham, all Cobra's were 4v. The 3v didn't come around till 05 and was the standard in all GT's. Unless you port the 3v heads they will flow worse than the 2v heads, and using the 4v heads will improve power up top, but will sacrifice low end. In the end it's better bang for the buck to just do a full PI swap.

Thanks for posting it to clear that up for him. I've been around the modular motors and mustangs for quite sometime so I knew his information was inaccurate, and it also wouldnt be my first PI swap either lol. But I didn't feel like wanting to correct it.. so thanks :):drinks:

Okay, So as most people know, DC has been backordered on parts for awhile now. So instead of rushing things, I've slowly been taking my time to help spread the load around the waiting period for the woofer. I have a few pics of the foam sprayed, then cut and sanded away. Will be getting ALOT more work done on Friday. Including some fleece and glass. I'm going to rewire everything tomorrow (Thursday) for better separation, and cleaniness.

So off to the pics..

foam sprayed and dried.
