Team_DC-Derrick
soryy but im a bit of a newb with the terms and such, could you define rise? and one more question. is the btl 18 the best woofer for the money? http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/76995-impedance-rise/ but you dont need to worry about rise unless you're competing in the lanes and such. thats true, but also thinking he will get 4kw out of that amp musically would be wrong 2, so technically i would say at most he would get is MAYBE 2800 .... Team_DC-Derrick
the people getting 4kw or even 3500 out of that amp are people who compete, know their rise, and rise up to 1 ohm, not starting out at 1 ohm and rising up to lets say 4 ohms.. but once you get it all installed, you should clamp it, just to see how much you really are getting, you would be suprised.... Felskee
so im not getting that full amount of power?
Team_DC-Derrick
you more than likely wont be near the 4kw of power, on music... music changes ohm loads 1 frequency can rise your amp up to 2 ohms while the next can rise up to 16 ohms... thats why they test amps on tones to get the power they claim.. hdorre
so im not getting that full amount of power? if your rise is over 1 ohm at a certain frequency, then no...you wont get "full power."
