In my opinion it is a pretty good damn system.

Baydestrian Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 Ok, assuming you don't have an o-scope, to set your gain go here and download the 45hz tone, http://www.realmofexcursion.com/downloads.htm Then make sure the settings on your deck are flat (zero for everything), Loud Off, if you have a kenwood like me turn the Bass Ext Off. Turn the deck up 3/4 (if max is 35, 3/4 is 26-27). Make sure all settings on the amp are down too, turn the gain up while the track is playing and once you hear distortion back down just a tad bit. Make sure the subsonic filter is set to what your box is tuned to. Don't turn up the bass boost. You don't need it. If you lookin my sig I have a 500/1 powering 2 W3's, I love it and it sounds great. You think they are much better than the Boston Acoustics SR60? I'm asking cause i can get the C5 for $300 bucks. But don't know if they will be way better than my SR60's.

I have the c5 6.5 comp in the front of my f150 running off a jl 300/4v2 and it sounds good. i paid 310 from the dealer and def worth the money imo! I dont kno how it compares to the sr60s tho
AI James Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 i dont think id ever run a ZR JL comp set though....a 900 dollar comps set that gets walked on by a 200 dollar set...no thanks and all the lines below the ZR theres a ton of alternatives. My problem with JL comps anything dynamic with some kinda volume...they break up tweet isnt great mid lacks balls large passive crossover
