I have a 15" AQ HDC3 and am running it at 1ohm. It is D2ohm, but I wanted to see what the best way was to wire the + to the other + and - to the other -. Right now on one of the + side wires, I cut some of the rubber surround off about a 1/2 inch long and took the other + side and wrapped it around the exposed side where I cut the surround off on the other one. I then covered it with elec. tape and did the same to the - side wires in order to run my sub at 1ohm. Is there a better way to do this?

This is what I need to figure out how to do, making it clean and efficient so that something does malfunction. Im afraid the way I have isnt correct and may cause problems. This is what I am doing, pic below

Bassless once again. Can't seem to keep a system for more than a few weeks :)

Saving for a '06 Nissan 350z, look for build around June 2012.

Depending on what kind of terminals you have on your box you could just run a wire from both positive on your woofer to the positive terminal on your box and do the same with the negative.

Well I dont usually put any terminals on my box, and I try to keep it that way. I just don't care for them but since I use 8 guage, it would be hard to find 1 that would fit 2 8 guage wires. Supercharged DC's, I dont know how you would use those because I would have to put both + wires in there, and 1 would also have to come out to go to my amp. It's hard to even fit 2 8 guage wires in there, let alone 3.

Bit hard to explain, but what i did with my DD's as theyre direct leads, was take 2 straight cable crimp joiners, take the insulation off them, solder them side by side together. then crimp the cables. you will only need to use 3/4 ends as youl only use 3 wires, then i just heatshrunk over them..

Bit of an odd way i guess but it worked well for me! Sorry i dont have pics either haha

I ended up just soldering the wires together. Does anyone know how much soldering increases resistance? Is it better to solder rather than to use connectors like butt connecters, or bolting the wires down like in the pictures above?
