BTL FTW Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 I'm contemplating walling off my Ram 1500 and doing two 9515s and a metric fuckton of port this summer, I'm considering mounting my sub amps IN the port and taking their displacement into account in the port tuning. Taking into account the considerable airflow in the port I think this would be a badass idea for keeping them cool and I've never seen it done before.... Your thoughts? raolito1980 Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 I would say dont do it. My Memphis got screwed up just by having it mounted behind my enclosure. Damn vibration broke a resistor loose and ended up frying some other resistors by the rca inputs. This next pic is the fried resistors. I guess it happened because the first one broke loose?!?!
