David
Thanks for all the input guys, still havent decided what were gonna do yet, next time Im at his jobsite I will get pics of the truck and interior, Right now Im just trying to get some ideas flowing in my head so I can relay to him what I think will work best. Kev, I dont think we will be doing anything extreme anough to have to have a high output alt or a bank of batts. his goal is SQ with a hint of loudness, probably just barely have over 1000watts RMS, with some high quality mids/highs/subz he is no hurry, he learned from his buddy to be patient (his buddy got ripped off on an install in a 2007 hemi charger ( I migt be fixxing this car in the future if I can Pull off what Donavan wants in his truck))

str86diesel
Kev, I dont think we will be doing anything extreme anough to have to have a high output alt or a bank of batts. David, I totally understand. You didn't specify whether this is a gasser or a diesel which is why I brought it up. I can say that my truck stock has a 136 and at idle it sucks up 102 of that due to the grid heater (being that Cummin's doesn't run off of glow plugs). Which doesn't leave much room for even a 4 channel amp, unless it has some good reliable batteries up front. Ray
I have done a single downfiring in the front center seat, same truck.. Also 4 8's behind the rear seat.... Then I moved the seat forward 1.5" and did 2 se12's vented. Moving the seat wasnt bad at all.. Then i tore it all out and cut it for 2 06 xxx 12's. Its loud now Quote 2008 California state record holder 157.2 Bassrace2009 California state record holder 157.0 BassraceRollin 50's 158.7db2009 King of Cali Bassrace2009 USACi score 160.5 @ 42hz
galacticmonkey
Got pics of the interior? Id say build a center console for something like 2 Fi SSD 10s. Go sealed with about 1.75 cubes for the pair. Would sound great.
David
yea he is kinda undecided, I gave him a million suggestions, Im just waiting for his decision and his keys heh. I like Ray's idea, moving the rear seat forward and doing a pair of 10's ported.
roscoe1129
I at one time had a bunch of 6.5 JL audio subs in a single cab ram and they sounded pretty damn good david. You could do 6-8 6.5's behind the rear seat and get some great sound from them.
