kevin ribeiro Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 im going to order a H/O alternator now can i just add the 2nd alternator to the car or do i have to take the orginal alternator off and put the new H/O in and lets say i can do the original and add the aftermarket H/O alternator am i going to run 0 gauge to both the alternators or to the original or of the H/O alternator just wondering

Torres Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 if you have the means to make a bracket, that's all on you. i personally wouldn't even know where to begin lol. some people replace their AC compressor with the alternator as well

Torres Posted June 8, 2011 Report Posted June 8, 2011 if you want your H/O alt to power your system, run that to your battery/batteries that are separate from your engine battery and leave the stock alt to the engine battery so it can take care of the cars functions like normal.
