Decaf Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 bl would be high power handling and should be louder but re se is one of my all time favorite subs, they sound sooo damn good. if you are talking about these http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/reaudiose15.aspx then grab em. cant go wrong with those and a 1500w amp
kirill007 Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 FI BL has a higher power handling and will be able to get louder. Both should sound quite the same. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
AI James Posted June 10, 2011 Report Posted June 10, 2011 i have 2 older model RE SE 15s i'll sell you. There are no simularities between the 2 other then a basket.

I tried to order two of them awhile back and they sent me the newer sex models instead. Just a warning. But the se15s do sound amazing My Build Log: http://www.stevemead...-sundown-power/ Team NorthWestSPL
juggernaut405 Posted June 13, 2011 Author Report Posted June 13, 2011 well i lucked up and found another se 15 an 1hr from where i live so i'm pickin both se's up.now my question is does anybody have the ported box specs for the older model se's ? they'll be going in my 02 tahoe, and i want a decent size box but not outrageous, still wanna be able to load stuff in the back when needed. oh and how well would these sound in a prefab ported box? might get one to holdover til actual box is built JUGGERNAUT DA ASSO
RAM_Designs Posted June 13, 2011 Report Posted June 13, 2011 IIRC the older 15" SE's were more sealed box friendly. But a small box with a lower tuning should be able to control the peakiness that you normally get when porting a higher Qts value sub...but kinda kills your efficiency, which is the point of going ported in the first place, right?
