Is there a concrete reason attributed to the dark ages? I think it was caused by a climatic catastrophe...like a massive volcano that caused the earth to descend into a mini ice age....humans were so preoccupied with just surviving, that things like art and science took a back seat to finding food.

And how the hell does the term "dark ages" have anything to do with religion? It is called that because of the utter lack of any advancement in civilizations or even documentation of what was going on during that period. It hasn't got shit to do with the church.

A belief in theological areas almost means you have to close your mind to anything that opposes your view.

It is incredibly comedic how many people continue to state this, when many people who back evolution have not taken as much time to thoroughly study creation without a pre-disposed idea that it was incorrect. Being closed minded is found on both ends many times. And, again, I may never be able to "prove" creation, but I can believe it enough to be able to sift through all of the B/S that evolution based scientists feed the people.

There's no reason why you could not believe in god and his creation, AND evolution.

You are correct in a general term. But, being a Christian (Baptist, Catholic, etc...) would not be so easy, seeing as evolution is clearly disproven from a Biblical standpoint.

This is what I would like to clear up.

Most people, me included, that trust in the scientific method and Evolution, has lived their entire life learning about Creation. I was raised on it and taught it in school. Then I gathered evidence and info and used logical thought to determine evolution was true, and the evidence and facts support it.

ANd

This is what you dont understand, that Science does not B.S. You are not being fed BS. The lesson is there and the facts and truths are there for you to look at. You think of it as BS because it goes against your traditional based belief. Your view is OK to have, but understand that Science is about facts and truth, there is no Bias or BS or agenda as in religion or Politics.

here is how the "scientific method" works in creating a "Theory" that is taught in schools.

1. An Observation is made. - In the case of Evolution is was the observation that many various species exist and some have peculiar similarities between them.

2. Questions are asked. - This is where we ask the what and how questions and gather evidence to start to answer those questions or bring up more questions.

If an idea is postulated

3. Hypothesis is formed. This is where an idea is made to explain the observation.

If the Hypthesis makes sense

4. Experimentation/ Testing. - This is where the evidence is put to the test. Experiments are done, data is collected, more testing, more testing, more data.

Then we use the data to test if a prediction can be made of the evidence. In the case of Evolution, this is when we see that certain fossils only exist in a certain time period. So the prediction is that if we dig around, we should only find this fossils in the strata of that period, and next to other fossils observed to be of that period. And infact, We do. we never find dogs with dinos etc...

5. Peer review. - This is where results and data are publicized to other scientists for review. They study the evidence and data, perform their own experiments and gather their own data. Usually there are organizations and hundreds to thousands of other scientists that review the findings.

If data and tests pass.

6. Hypothesis becomes part of a Theory. - This is where more evidence is collected, experiments done and data collected to explain how previous findings were found and how they work. More and more testing is done.

If testing passes

7. Peer review of Theory - This is were papers are published and the scientific community tests and analyzes the data and tests it themselves.

if PASS

8. Theory or Law is formed. This is where an official theory or law of a scientific subject becomes official.

if excepted by school system

9. The new Theory or Law is now taught in schools.

Also, like I mentioned before. The Pope and Catholic Church accept Evolution. They have seen the evidence and cannot deny it.

and the Bible in no way disproves evolution. Alls it does is fail to explain it, it doesnt even debate against it.
