speakers cut out when playing CD

I had this problem since I had this deck in my Caprice. On hot days, like today in Cali where its mid 80's to low 90's, when playing a CD at a high volume like 28 out of 35 my speakers will start to cut out, turn it down for a few secs, turn it up and its fine sometimes for like 20 secs sometimes for a good while. No matter what the weather my CDs get hella hot, today I plugged in my phone to my aux and turned it up to 30 and no issues (volume through HTC phone is lower than ipod/cd).

I'm in the market for a Pioneer 3200BT but wanted to put it for a month or so but this is extremely annoying since playing through the AUX doesn't sound as good as CD and using USB it takes forever to scroll through the songs, so CD is really my best option right now. Baffling to me why this happens.

Cd player Amp is prolly overheating or your deck is just about done.

Sounds like it is overheating and going into some sort of protect mode. Like it can't handle the heat from the cd player AND the internal amp.

Pull the head unit out of the dash so it gets some open air and try playing a cd again. Feel for how warm it gets. If it stops cutting out, then it may be an overheating issue.

yeah Im pretty sure its the overheating, looks like Ima just have to get the Pioneer soon. I've had the deck since 2008 I think

LOL Navi, ur funny for that one. If I had the knowledge, tools and place to make a box I would have got different subs but I don't so getting what the shop I go to had was perfect.
