soundcheck11 Posted July 27, 2011 Report Posted July 27, 2011 stick a mulitimeter on the speaker inputs an put your meter on ohms reading and that will tell you. doesnt have to be running you can do it all without removing the speaker. But if your amp isnt 1ohm stale then over time you could either cook your amp or blow the coils in your sub. Theres a guy round my neighbor hood that had a Solo X and is running nearly 10,000 watts to it on 1 sub. He has the high end model of that speaker. Its mental!!

I know when I upgraded my wiring to 1/0 gauge and dropped my D4 subs to 1 ohm from 4, I was speechless. If you get the urge to do put the power to it, I doubt you'd be disappointed.
