18abVFL Posted June 27, 2011 Report Posted June 27, 2011 im getting a new car soon, and as soon as i do, im going to run 1/0 gauge through it. itll probably be about 2 months before i get my new system put in, and i think im just gonna put my type Rs and american bass vfl 80.1 in there to hold me over. the 80.1 has 4 gauge terminals. how do i go about wiring this amp to 1/0 wire? can i just use a distribution block as a gauge reducer? 1999 Monte Carlo Sony CDX-GT34w 2 Alpine Type R 12"s in 4 cubes tuned to 35hz American Bass VFL 80.1 amp @ 1 ohm (probably doing between 1000 and 1300rms) Stock alt, Stock batt, Big 3 Upgrade Boston s55- 5 1/4s (doors) Boston s95- 6x9s (rear deck)

One should fuse at the battery (fuse size should be sum of All amps run) then also fused at the block (individual fuse sizes for EACH amp). Please correct me if I'm wrong.
