SO that combined with the sales that have been going through, gives me enough to buy a piece. I have to decide what it is I want to get though. I can either get the second sub, the second amp, or maybe a battery or both. We'll see what i decide. That was one of my favorite projects of yours. In all honesty, probably not for a while. I still have to get a second set of HID ballasts, bulbs, both new headlight housings so I always have back ups, and a couple other things. Right now, my money is all going to audio till I get the last few pieces. Those are: Hertz HDP1 (second one, the first is getting exchanged for the HDP5 I have now) Hertz High Energy HX300D Sub (second one) XS Power batteries. Still not sure which ones though. scooter99 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Report Posted February 14, 2012 Hmmm I wonder! I just found a guy on the 12volt.com that did one 35 feet from the actual unit. He used CAT6 wire, and supplied the faceplate with it's own power. So basically a separate power source, and it worked. I'm sending him an email, but I wonder if this is the way to go. scooter99 Posted February 14, 2012 Author Report Posted February 14, 2012 Yea I have a couple other theory's based on what I just found. On the back of the unit front, not the face plate itself, but the front. There is a separate board that connects the main board and the faceplate together. What it's looking like, and i've asked the person who's done the project, is that is where the drop in voltage is. SO it basically take the voltage from the main unit and drops it down to lower it before the face plate. So what I've asked him is, what if I moved that board to the ghost plate, where the face plate will sit in, and then ran the harness from inside the unit itself to that board?
