Blackedout Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 I'm not sure if maybe I'm not explaining it correctly, or if I'm miss understanding some of you guys, or if I'm maybe just doing a 4th order application as it's been suggested and I don't know it. But this is the way I'm going with this. Here's a marked up picture: I only angled the subs so that they would be seen better for showing. Otherwise they kind of get lost behind the bit one. I'm also thinking of adding some acrylic rings between them and the baffle and back lighting them, as well as something around the bit one. I'm just not sure how I'm going to pull it off just yet. The idea that you've sketched up is a 4th order regardless of if you tried to or not. Cancellation will more than likely be The biggest flaw in that design if you keep both sides open. When it comes to finding information about 4th orders, there's hardly any advice that really matches. Best bet is to learn by trial and error. Trunk Build Log
OrionStang Posted September 21, 2011 Report Posted September 21, 2011 If you move the subs farther apart, making the sealed sections smaller, and use plexi in that middle section, you should be good.
