deeje
People really don't understand that XL's are not invincible, if you want to demo all day or even play them for more than 20 seconds at a time with more than rated power, they will fuck up. Shit, I ripped my XL 10's apart on less than rated power. XL's are great subs, don't get me wrong, but you cannot go wrong with any amount of power or abuse with the 5's. That's why i'm buying a pair :X I play mine on more then rated all day and I have no issues. deeje
Basically 2 quality batteries are about 500 an alt is about 500 and wire is like 30. And your friend shouldn't be able to turn it up to damaging level if your gains are set right unless they fuck with your amp. depends on the head unit.. say your head unit clips at volume 24, but you can take it up to vol 50, then your max volume is 24.... gains are set for max output at 24.. friend turns it up to 50, guess what, you just clipped the living fuck out of all your shit in your car, and he prob just caught some shit on fire lol Well that's a shit tastic headunit lol. you wont ever know till you oscope, or use the distortion detector on yours.. lol, you might be suprised... Mine clips at 38 and goes to 40. Supercharged DCs
ABC, if you don't already have the Yellowtops I'd get something else. Preferably XS Power, but Kinetik is another option. Supercharged DCs
For the Aq2200, a single XS D3400 would suffice. For the BC3500, I'd do a D3400 and a D3100. Quote Bassless once again.
