Shigshwa
Port area per foot needs to be at least 8..keep trying Hmmm, and simply adding more ports does not work, right? IT works but then you also have to take into account the space the ports take up in side the box. Then I have a big dilemma. More ports equal higher tuning. Can anyone figure out a solution? Or does this mean that I have to extend these ports out of the box? Nope gotta use more or bigger aeros. Why not port through the side? Aesthetic reasons. Shigshwa
Otherwise, the next thing I am thinking of is to simply scrunch up the port into a spiral, but I have no idea if that works. Argh, this pisses me off. It looks like I can't fit an 18 into this car then, and I really don't want to settle for a 15 either.. iKidwell
2 12's is more motor force and only a little less cone area...i'd do that. or just don't do a wedge box...they complicate everything. Quote c'mon now, if i was shooting an 8 year old, it wouldnt be MY 8 year old. i recently got a Pyle PL1590BL and i was building an enclosure for it tuned to 25 hz. i didn't have any tools to cut a circle so i hit it with a big hammer. 2003 Infiniti G35 Sport Sedan Build in Progress
Lbox88
It will add more displacement, lowering your net volume, increase your tuning, and rape your port values Edit: I am going through some of the same stuff but with 2 12's right now too, it's annoying as hell because I want to build my own also, not have some shop do it for me. Louisiana Bass
And for aeros, you'll want the end of the aero atleast 5 inches away from the wall it's facing on the inside. Quote N8. No homo...unless you want there to be.
