genyk789
hey smd members, so im a bit of a newb here on the forums but i was wondering if it will benifit to spray foam/ seal my trunk off if my subs are facing up in the trunk, and port is firing towards the trunk... also its an rx-8 so the back seats dont fold down, just the space in between them... any advice would be awesome! Second Skin Rep Jon
Benefit in what way? Higher SPL I assume? Chances are, it's not going to make a noticeable difference. In fact in some cases sealing the trunk has a negative effect. Each vehicle is different. Quote Have a question about Second Skin? E-Mail me! __d_a_v_i_d__
Unless you do it 99.9% sealed off, your better off facing towards trunk Quote Chevy Impala Shocker Sigs / TC Sounds 12s Sundown NS-1 | SAX 100.4 Sundown Neos | Dayton Audio Neos ETCCC ETCCC ETCCC My YouTube ---- Subcribe!! tonedeaf
I don't think these people noticed you said sealing off with them firing up and the port firing to the rear. You cant really seal that off from anything bud.
tonedeaf
Or did you mean changing it so they fire subs and port forward? Kinda confused by your wording.

genyk789
My question is will sealin the trunk off from the cab make it louder if my subs are not at all in the cab
genyk789
The only reason I thought it might increase sound is because it would be making the trunk pretty much a second box Edited July 6, 2011 by genyk789
