Hey all, I will be going to college this fall and I need opinions/help deciding on getting myself a new car.

My parameters are late 90's to early 00's, $3500-~$6000. car or small SUV. Ease of maintenance, fuel economy; any opions you have about any car would be helpful.

Thanks.

No offense to bimmer up there, but although sone foreign cars are great, repair costs can be a bitch

x2 an electrical problem will cost u more than the car is worth

Ease of maintenance: euros are out

Fuel economy: american cars are out

I'd say maybe a honda crv possibly with a large wall of noise makers
